They were selected from a competitive field of 200 nominations, with the awarding body saying it “shows the superb level of talent that is out there among the British Asian community.”

Ruzina, who was nominated by CCCT, is undertaking a Level 3 Adult Health and Social Care Apprenticeship and has been working in a mental health support service managed by Look Ahead Care and Support Services. She aims to progress through to Level 4 and 5 of our Health and Social Care Apprenticeship.

“I am delighted to be shortlisted at the Asian Apprenticeship Awards. CCCT has been great to me, especially the support from my assessor and the other apprentices. In turn, I have also been able to support other apprentices with their Level 2 Health and Social Care.

“I have learned more about how my job links to the wider care sector and how important it is to continually develop my skills and knowledge, as this affects how I perform in my role, how I support the customers and how I work with other professionals. All of this relates to how the company promote their services.”

Siobhan, also nominated by CCCT, has been studying an Advanced Apprenticeship in Adult Health & Social Care and has been working at Sweet Tree Home Care Services, with aims of becoming a Social Care Manager.

“I am delighted to be nominated, this is such an honour. I have never been nominated for an award before. CCCT has been great for my personal and professional development and my assessor is brilliant!”

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Thursday 2 November 2017 at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham.
