"There are so many other opportunities out there and you shouldn’t be disheartened by the fact that you won’t go to university because there is still that option there for you even if you do choose to do an apprenticeship first."

Why choose an apprenticeship?

The best thing about being apprentice is that I’m so young and I’ve experienced so much already. Being an apprentice at London Nest is fantastic because everyone was so welcoming and lovely when I first started, and as a young person when you first start working it’s quite challenging because you’re just leaving school and it’s a big difference – it’s a big step. I know that I want to work in property at some point and being an apprentice at London Nest has really opened my eyes to see what it’s like to help people find their ideal accommodation. What attracted me to being an apprentice was that you can earn money whilst you’re learning useful life skills to progress in your career.

My advice to people considering apprenticeships would be not to limit yourself, there’s so many other opportunities out there and you shouldn’t be disheartened by the fact that you won’t go to university because there is still that option there for you even if you do choose to do an apprenticeship first.
